Our appetite for war was waning & we caught on to the incarceration scam so Republicans new GOLD RUSH was all wrapped up in healthcare. Instead of paying whole $15 hourly (they knew was coming anyway) they were gonna pay 10 make up the other 5 in " Healthcare" 1/4
In cahoots with providers, these were substandard plans that cover little to nothing, but would keep a person tied to a job. When Obama introduced the ACA, it upended a plan to capitalize on illness. Koch Brothers formed the Tea Party out of fringe groups to fight the ACA. 2/4
Health is welfare. A right & a Constitutional obligation. GOP wants to debate that & turn "health" into a profit making industry. When we turned incarceration into a profit-making industry, Police received quotas that caused them to err on the side of locking people up. 3/4
If Healthcare is "for profit" you remove an inherent incentive to keep people healthy. Why bother since the millionaires & billionaires make more off people when they get sick? Parks are healthy, sidewalks & whole foods...Why you don't see them & it would only get worse. 4/4
