#NHL21 Rant.
Man to say this years NHL is disappointing is a understatement. The gameplay is just god awful this year. Few examples.
-Overall skating mechanics, they feel clunky, inconsistent.

Absolutely cracked out of their minds, pinpoint accurate poke checks that both knock it off your stick and steal it, stick also goes through my skates, no trip detected but when I do it? Hahahah insta penalty. Not to mention holy shit the amount of times my players are

Constantly being interfered with wether it be them pushing my guy offside, or hindering me from catching as guy by just running into me or these “net battles” That when I do it as long as they do it to me I get called for interference. It’s just so stupid.
- Now let’s talk about defending, in the past few years we’ve gone from Okay AI defending to just out right Pylons! Seriously if I’m not controlling every player, my team does nothing on defence not matter what these “strategies” say their doing LOL. Meanwhile the other AI
Cuts off every passing lane with precise perfection and interference. It’s awesome! Not.

When I hit little Johnny, I bounce off him like rubber, while Johnny trucks me like a linebacker, and this works with silver players who have like 50 balance, and strength! But when the other AI hits you even the slightest nudge sends you flying, it’s the dumbest thing ever LOL..
Now let’s talk about overall player experience, cause what this game definitely and I mean DEFINITELY wants to promote is “Awwww that team was tough, if you buy packs and get a stronger team you’ll win more games!” Which is bullshit! The overalls honestly don’t feel any different
And you have the sliders to thank for that, EA’s stupid sliders that are supposed to what? Give us a challenge? Piss off, there’s nothing challenging about busted ass AI that are so cracked they move faster, react quicker than your guys no matter what the overall.
Now these are personal things that have bugged me that I can’t believe they haven’t put in the game in 21 years.

2. Objective players! Man how hard would it be EA to say put players out there that can be achieved through challenges or milestones and no not those trash 80 overall ones you give us, actually a player we can inject into our teams to value the time we put in EARNING them!
3. A season progression with rewards/players. See @EASPORTSNHL you may think you know what players want but you guys haven’t gotten a single thing right in any of your games from NHL 14 on.. and that is pathetic. See this game is played by us, the fans, and I’m not saying we
Are right cause we aren’t but if I the consumer am to put time and effort into your game I don’t want my time to feel wasted, or feel unvalued.. since NHL 14 on I feel like I waste time on this game, 0 progression and you just force people to pay for better teams and we are done
With that bullshit. You dare release a half finished game at full price and then have the audacity to have us pay more money to play your game? You can fuck off, seriously. Games are already expensive enough without having to fork more money over to you for nothing.
So what a season progress does is allow people to finally! Upgrade their teams, gain new players, packs ect and not have to spend a cent! So the consumer can finally feel like when they WANT to spend money, and not because they have to...
