The beginning

Ravindra Anhirudhsinh Jadeja was born on 6 December 1988 in Navagamghed, Jamnagar, Gujarat.

He's commonly known as Ravindra Jadeja.

He is a left handed middle order batsman and slow left arm orthodox bowler. (1)
He represents India in International cricket and represents Saurashtra in domestic cricket. He is currently playing for Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League.(IPL)

During 2008-2009 ipl His former team Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne gave him a nickname Rockstar (2)
Early Years(Under 19)

Ravindra Jadeja made his first under 19 appearance for india in 2005 at the age of 15. He was picked in squad for the 2006 U-19 WC
Though India was the runner up but he did a impressive performance by taking 3 wickets against Pakistan in the finals. (3)
He was the vice captain of India's under 19 team which won the 2008 under 19 world cup. He played a crucial and important role with ball and took 10 wickets in 6 games with an average of 13.(4)

Domestic Career

He made his first class debut in the 2006-07 Dileep Trophy where he plays for West Zone.

In 2012, He became the 8th player in history and 1st Indian player to score 3 TRIPLE CENTURIES in First class career.(5)

The three Triple Centuries of SIR JADEJA

1st came in early November 2011 against Orissa where he scored 314 of 375 balls.

2nd came in November 2012 against Gujarat and that was a unbeatable 303*

3rd came in December 2012 against Railways where he scored 331 of 501 balls(6)
*He reached this milestone at the age of 23 only

International Journey

Jadeja caught the attention of selectors with his all round performance in 2008-09 Ranji season where he took 42 wickets and scored 739 runs and was picked in team for the ODI series against Sri Lanka(7)
International Debut

He made his international debut against Sri Lanka on 8 February 2009 in the final match of that series where he scored a 60 notout although India lost the match.

In 2009 T 20 WC he was criticised for not scoring fast enough in India's loss to England(8)
Though he managed to book his place at No. 7 in India's ODI team due to Yusuf Pathan's bad form.(9)

Some legendary performances

1) Took a 4 wicket haul 4-32 in the third ODI against Sri Lanka in cuttack on 21 Dec, 2009. He also got the man of the match award for his good bowling.

2)In 3rd ODI against England in The oval he scored 78 and took team India to 234-7 from 58-5.(10)
And also took 2 wickets and was awarded as the player of the match but unluckily England won the rain affected match.

3) In 2nd T20 against Australia in Feb 2012 he had a economic figures of 1/16 in 3 overs and effected 2 run outs and got man of the match award. (11)
Test Debut

After his impressive
performance at the start of Ranji season 2012-13 which included 2 triple centuries he was called up to join 15 member Indian test team to play the 4th test against England in nagpur.

In his test debut he bowled 70 overs and picked 3/117.(12)
Memorable one

In 2nd ODI of the Royal London cup series in kochi he scored 61 of 37 against England which helped India to reach a big total of 285.He also took 2 wickets giving only 12 runs in 7 overs. He got man of the match for his amazing all round performance. (13)
India-Australia Test Series 2013

In this series of Feb-march 2013 specially remembers for India's historic home win agisnt Australia he took 24 wickets dismissing Australian captain Clarke five out of 6 innings. By this He cemented his place as an all rounder in the team. (14)
Champions Trophy 2013

He played a important role for India in CT 13.
He was the highest wicket taker of the tournament with 12 wickets and also won the golden ball. He made 33* and took 2 wickets in final against England and was also named in the team of the tournament.(15)
Topping the ODI rankings

He was ranked as No. 1 bowler in ODI cricket by ICC in August 2013.

He was the first Indian bowler to top the rankings since anil kumble topped it in 1996 and was fourth bowler after kapil Dev, maninder Singh, and anil kumble to be ranked at No.1. (16)
World Cup 2015 and bad form

He was selected for the 2015 ODI World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand despite not being fully fit due to shoulder injury.

His performance was bad as he took only 9 wickets in 8 games and was able to score only 57 runs from 5 innings.(17)
Dropped and The comeback

After his bad performance against Bangladesh in ODI series after the world cup he was dropped from the Indian team.

He made his strong comeback in the 2015-16 Ranji season picking 38 wickets in just 4 games and scoring 215 runs including 3 50s.(18)
Comeback in the Indian team

He was selected for the home test series against South Africa. He helped his team achieve victory by taking 23 wickets in 4 games and scoring 109 runs including crucial knocks Lower down the order.(19)
Some big achievements

1) He along with r ashwin became the first pair of spinners to jointly rank No. 1 in ICC test rankings history

2)On 5 August 2017 Jadeja became the fastest left arm bowler to reach 150 wickets in terms of number of matches played(20)

3) On 5 October 2018,he scored his 1st century in Test cricket.

4)In March 2019 during second ODI against Australia he became the 3rd cricketer for India to score 2,000 runs and take 150 wickets in ODI.

5) In October 2019 in 1st test against South Africa Jadeja took his 200th wicket in Test cricket.(22)

IPL career

Ravindra Jadeja was selected by Rajasthan Royals for the inaugural season of IPL.

He played an important role in their title win but scoring 135 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 131.06.

In 2009 he was even better and scored 295 runs and bowled economically(23)
Journey to CSK

He was banned from IPL for the 2010 season due to contractual irregularities and he was bought by kochi tuskers kerela in 2011season.The franchise was terminated from ipl so Csk bought Jadeja in 2012 ipl auction as the most expensive player of that season (24)
