Is God Omnipotent? A thread.
This thread has become necessary b’cos, in the last week or so, I have noticed this trend with people posting things ranging from birthdays to promotions to all kinds of celebrations with the caption “what God cannot do doesn’t exist”.
While I celebrate with everybody that has had something nice going for them, the caption got me thinking.

It’s one thing to want something to be true and another to prove that it is true.

So is God omnipotent or not?
In Matthew 19:26 “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible, but with God ALL things are possible.” Okkkk? So why this?
Judges 1:19 “And the Lord was with Judah, and he drove out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.”

Excuse me!!! Chariots of iron were giving God a tough time?
It's important to note that although the iron gave him a tough time, he made sure history didn't repeat itself with the Egyptians at the Red sea. Exodus 14:26-28
Here’s another thing, God cannot prevent regret. He knows all things (including the future) but, somehow he can’t just prevent regret. The bad part is when he’s regretting he can just decide to kill everybody.
For example in Genesis 6:6&7 “The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled”… So the LORD said, “I will blot out man, whom I have created, from the face of the earth
every man and beast and crawling creature and bird of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them.”… The funny part for me is how in the end, he didn’t regret killing everything, but let’s leave that for another day.
God cannot end world hunger and starvation. According to the UN Ending world hunger will cost $267B. https://images.app.goo.gl/RWUjvYSVYRPddT4N7
If God created the world in 6days, what is $267B and why is it taking him forever to end this?
And the last thing God cannot do.
God has been having such a hard time revealing himself to us as the creator of the world. I mean he is god, how hard can it be?
A very convincing way would be to organize it such that a theologian should win the Nobel prize for the discovery of God then we can end all this confusion about who the real God is.
