1/ How journalists use their influence to exploit others?
A thread:
a. Salman Aziz : A journalist based in Islamabad who runs a Web TV named Salman News, calls up a police officer and asks to release one of his very good friends who was arrested under charge of Harassment.

2/ Officer refused to release the accused, and Salman threatened him that he will upload a video against him. Officer still refused and then there was a video against him on a youtube channel.

3/ b. Atif Khan: Atif works for the Nation and Dawn, and tells people that he has very close linkages with PM House & bureaucracy. Atif Khan got an allotment of a stall in F7 illegally, by involving lower staff in MCI.

4/ After making a lot of money from one stall, Atif pressurized his allies in MCI to get another allotment in G-7, which was not approved. He established his stall without approval and MCI took it down. Atif blackmailed, and published stories against MCI Staff in The Nation.

5/ The same guy writes for @Dawn_News & uses his space for propaganda. I dont understand why credible papers like @dawn_com & @The_Nation are letting such people use their platform & damage their credibility.

6/ Because of no regulation or check and balance most of Pakistani Journos spread lies and misinformation. These are just two individuals who are using their influence to abuse authorities.

7/ Someday, i will write about others as well High time for PM IK to regulate online portals so such blackmailers using their YouTube channels for propaganda may be nabbed. @thenation, @dawn_com this demands an inquiry, how your platform is being used for personal vendettas.
