if the only food you crave right now or are capable of making is simple, childhood comfort food, like, mac and cheese, or cereal

If you need it, here's permission to eat that
[Food] obviously don't harm yourself and eat things you are, e.g. allergic to

Having the cereal for dinner is 1000% better than not eating dinner
[Food] also applesauce and fruit cups count as fruit

baby carrots dipped in ranch count as a vegetable

you can throw like, frozen broccoli or frozen spinach in mac and cheese
[Food] just please remember

Eating is better than not eating, even if the eating is "imperfect"
[Food] anyway my lunch is late but it is cheddar broccoli rice a roni with some frozen chard thrown in
[Food] last night we had grilled cheese for dinner

Breakfast today was Cheerios with a banana sliced in
[Food] it is a-ok to eat simple, comforting food. It is a-ok for that to help soothe you and calm down the stress and depression and anxiety.
[Food] food is love and we get to love ourselves
[Food] (btw this is true even if you are not living through a disaster like the US pandemic experience)
