It was shown on BBC and ITV (but was not broadcast live in Scotland). The FA Cup final and the replay were the only club football matches shown live on TV during the 1969/70 season. (There were Sunday highlights of the previous day's League Cup final).
The 1970 FA Cup final was the first to be broadcast in colour on both BBC and ITV. The 1969 final was broadcast in black and white on BBC1 and ITV, but with a special simultaneous colour broadcast on BBC 2 for those with a colour set already.
