A thread on my favorite books about Ida Lupino and her career...
Ida Lupino: Beyond the Camera by Mary Ann Anderson

Closest we will ever have to a Lupino memoir. Thin on detail prior to 1983, and some of her early career info appears chronologically inconsistent—likely relying on Ida's memory decades later. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/39859341-ida-lupino
Ida Lupino: A Biography by William Donati

A wonderful, detailed bio, published shortly after Ida's death by an author who respected her. From Anderson's book, you learn that Ida and Donati had a falling out. You would never know from reading his book. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/250268.Ida_Lupino
There are a couple older books on Ida I haven't yet obtained, but these above are all fascinating and very worthwhile reads for anyone interested in learning more about Ida Lupino. If anyone has other suggestions, please add them!
