I'm not an Instagram guy, I'm a newbie.
But I definitely plan to conquer the Insta in 2021.
This is the plan I will follow.
It incorporates all I learned on Twitter and also what I learned by studying the IG videos.

1. Profile optimization.
Same as on Twitter - Your profile is your ad and you need to make sure it's a converting one.
Also, you want to follow one visual style. So I will make some templates in Canva and then I will use mostly them.

2. Content.
No surprise there: I will just re-use the tweets and articles.
In Canva it takes like ~5 hours to make 100 posts from tweets.

3. Consistency.
Marketing OG @neilpatel says that consistency (posting the same amount of content every day) is even more important than how much you post.
Algorithms love consistency.
But it's hard, that's why I use Publer to schedule and post all my posts for me.

4. Hashtags.
Hashtags are the way to go on IG.
I have 3 sets of hashtags.
1. Freelancing
2. Freedom designing (Mindset)
3. Web design
Each set consists of about 10-15 hashtags that are TESTED.

How to test your hashtags?
1. Take the post that did relatively well.
2. Click on Promote.
3. Set the campaign for $1.
4. That will unlock the stats for you (including how many impressions particular # brought).
5. Write it down and cancel the campaign.

5. Engagement.
Every day I will have two goals:
1. Pick the 5 most related hashtags and engage with the 5 popular posts with every hashtag.
2. Pick 10 related accounts from my niche and engage with them and more importantly with their audience! in their comments.

6. Hack #1: Use the Vivaldi browser.
Vivaldi browser allows you to use Instagram on your desktop the same way as you do on your smartphone.
Using the keyboard you can write many more comments much faster.
Also, the DMs responses get much faster.

7. Hack #2 Stories as a form of shoutout.
I just take the content I really like and re-do it into some nice visual.
You can use Canva, SmartMockups, or Photoshop to do it.
On IG, the accounts get messaged when you tag them in stories.
And they repost often - if it's good.

I will battle-test this strategy soon.
If you liked the thread consider RT the 1st tweet.
And let me know, have you ever thought about starting an Instagram account?
