Using my time as a missionary to transform my thoughts and character to be Christ-like while serving others and "getting lost in the work" was fundamentally pivotal for my testimony.

I did not treat it like a vacation.
I did not treat it like college.
It was hard.
It was JOY!
Service opportunities were plenty
So were selfies trying to look good for my girlfriend - who waited for me, and is my wife.

Sorry not sorry to all of you who were Dear Johned. It was supposed to be.
I had more fun than I ever imagined - despite it being a mission of suffering and compromise and humility.

I love Mexico and the people.

Where there is no pain, there is no gain.
I tied my peanut butter to the roof from a string one time... the ants still found it and got inside!

I was upset haha. But I love this picture.

That was my first apartment. Dirt floor, ladrillo and a 12" gap between the walls and the roof of LAMINA. Sketchy.
I woke up twice with cockroaches in my mouth and one time they came pouring out of every drain in our bathroom after a storm. We used 5 cans of raid and the stench was abhorrent.

It was amazing. Iguanas, crocodiles, armadillos, the most amazing wildlife and scenery.
If you are able and of age - SERVE A MISSION.

DO IT FAITHFULLY
DO IT RIGHT
DO IT FOR GOD AND FOR YOUR OWN GROWTH AND TESTIMONY

GO AND DO
