Let me try to summarise this. Who loses because of these farm laws?
1. Those who source their income from the mandis - middlemen, contractors and the political backing behind that mandi. https://twitter.com/iAsura_/status/1335236955831857152
2. If it is a global market, naturally, the better produce will sell at a premium. A farmer whose produce is of poor quality will naturally suffer.
3. With more income to produce, it's a matter of time you will be building more storage facilities.
More facilities means more jobs and more competition to the mandi model. While the old order, without providing proper facilities will try to stop new entrants into the field, how long can they hold off?
4. Agriculture becomes a viable business model and with that increases the motivation to work for more profits. And with India's storage and distribution facilities becoming far better, wastage decreases,
increasing the chance of India becoming a serious contender in global food market. The WTO lobby which is bleating over India's preferential treatment to its farmers will now scurry for cover to protect its own farmers from low cost Indian produce.
So, who loses? A politician, a broker, a lazy farmer and a foreign government. Do we have a cartel into which all of them fit? And we have one.
It was never about Khalistanis infiltrating the protests. It was always about why did Khalistanis infiltrate this particular protest.
Wait a minute. There is another loser here.
5. Thousands of tonnes of grain gets damaged in the godowns and is sold off to IMFL distilleries. If the grain quality increases, where will you get the spoilt grain from? https://twitter.com/cbkwgl/status/1335275844600647681
This is a good thread. Some data pointers. A commission agent earns almost 12 lakhs through exploitation.

50% of commission agents are farmers.
