How do you FEEL about the periodic table of the elements?

How do you FEEL about gravity?

How do you FEEL about magnets used to create/utilize electricity?

How do you FEEL about the speed of sound/light?

Likely? Nothing.

Why?
Real science is boring not sensational.
Real science usually takes years before it produces enough evidence to be ruled irrefutable.
At the moment of discovery there is all ways sparks, because it means humans have to change their thought/behavioral patterns.

Change/acceptance is, hard on humans, status quo, easy.
Each and every person I see wearing a mask, I love.

I love them.
Even the ones who get in the car and say “I fucking hate these things.”

Yup. Me too.

I love those who are planning a quiet, peaceful, intimate, family Christmas.

Even though it hurts your heart.
How long could you listen to the science of what COVID-19 does to the body?
Actual science.
The stuff studied for a decade before they know what they are talking about.

You know how the scientists knew ahead of us, how bad it would be?
Math.
Science.
Not conspiracy.
Modeling.
Not sensational stuff.
Boring.

And here is the hard part:

WE HAVE TO TRUST IT

Science is why you have a MIG welder, and though you may not understand the actual science behind it, you trust it, when you use it.
Is trusting science hard for you?

Is trusting hard for you?

Do you trust others?

Of course you do!!!
EVERY DAMN DAY HUNDREDS OF TIMES.

Examples of trust in society:
Red lights
Stop signs
Painted lines separating speeding vehicles
Airplanes
Banking systems
The TaoTeChing talks about TRUST, in the CONTEXT of LEADERSHIP.

Because trust is one of those things that is based on human connectivity.

The Ying/Yang ☯️ of trust is distrust.

If you don't trust the people,
you make them untrustworthy.
TaoTeChing chapter 17
When the Master governs, the people
are hardly aware that he exists.
Next best is a leader who is loved.
Next, one who is feared.
The worst is one who is despised.

If you don't trust the people,
you make them untrustworthy.
TaoTeChing 17(cont)
The Master doesn't talk, he acts.
When his work is done,
the people say, "Amazing:
we did it, all by ourselves!"
I studied the TaoTeChing for last 5 years.
I’ve read it hundreds of times.
I’ve heard it’s echo in society more than I can count.

The true masters of our society are doers.

Steve Wozniak.
Nikola Tesla
Rosa Parks
Irena Sendlerowa
Nicholas Winton
Louis Pasteur
Dr. Emily Stowe
Why am I a progressive?

Because when a future humanity in 2121 looks back on this time, I want to be seen standing on the right side of history.

That’s why I left a belief system mired in myth and empty tradition.

Specifically, I left because it did real damage to good people.
You know how Christianity does the most damage?

It doesn’t trust the people.
Fundamentally it believes humans are born evil.
It believes we are bad.

And because it does, it fails humanity when humanity needs it most.

Do I still have a Christmas tree?
Yup.
I am a conundrum.
This is what I believe now:

The Tao is great.
The universe is great.
Earth is great.
Man is great.

These are the four great powers.

Man follows the earth.
Earth follows the universe.
The universe follows the Tao.
The Tao follows only itself.
I believe human kind is great. Specifically, human consciousness.

Look for those who are conscious, especially in these times.

Those who are angry, those who are reactionary, those who give no thought to their actions, love them, but, walk away from them.

Emotionally distance.
And.

Wear a mask.
