The lead single of the surprisingly good “Birds of Prey” soundtrack.
I’ve always appreciated how Megan can weave in-and-out of trap/pop-rap while still keeping her on mic charisma intact.
And this track is a great example of that.

The best chorus she’s ever done imo.
Absolutely flexing her pop-rap sensibilities, the track is infinitely more enjoyable through the genuine joy you feel in her verses.

The original was pretty lacklustre, but the near-complete overhaul of the remix instantly catapulted the quality and personality of the track.
I’m sure I don’t really need to explain too much, but this is easily one of the best songs of the year.

“Girls In The Hood”
Megan Thee Stallion over 90s samples is something I never knew I needed, but right now want way more of.
Her Gangsta Boo-like inflections are way more apparent here (largely due to the production).
It’s still a well-done homage though.

Another 90s sample, another banger.
I’m not gonna get into the story Lanez drama, but the amount of venom packed into this track makes it a show-stealing intro fit for her hotly anticipated debut album.

Honestly, this track is on here purely off how much I love the production. The horns are *chef’s kiss*
Megan’s performance isn’t as memorable as everything else in the thread, but hey it’s still a great song nonetheless.
