Everyone says they are sick of Covid and I couldn’t agree more. This is the 255th morning I have woken up with blinding head pain that blurs my vision, pain in my throat that feels like I swallowed glass, gasping for air with a chest that feels like an overly wound elastic.
My joints get worse every day, making it harder and harder to walk, type, stretch and write. It’s hard some days to hold a glass, and finding out at 35 that the Covid induced arthritis is chronic was devastating. The inflammation in my body is impacting everything,
but most recently my skin, which always feels like it’s on fire and I’m
Covered in rashes. The Covid triggered psoriasis moved to my nails and makes them brown and loose. My hair stopped falling out finally but that was with the IVIG. My one stream of hope that wasn’t approved

so I have to fight for it again. It’s been 2 weeks without it now and I’m in a full blown relapse. I’m sick of panting like a dog after walking up a flight of stairs, sweat pouring down my back but then turning to ice because my autonomic nervous system can’t regulate my
my temperature or my heart rate. There is more but it’s less pleasant to talk about, so I will spare you. If you don’t wear a mask, if you don’t take this seriously, if you talk about infringement on your freedoms, stop talking. Look in a mirror and ask yourself how you became a
despicable, piece of trash. And then sit down on your couch, stay inside, and get over yourself. People are dying and it’s devastating but people are also having their lives destroyed by Covid in other ways. Stop thinking this can’t happen to you. #yeg #alberta #covid
As I prepare myself mentally to hear about this weekend’s even larger anti mask rally, I ask myself who is advocating for those of us following the rules?! Married to front line health workers who put themselves and their families at risk to help others?! @CMOH_Alberta #sendhelp
