Thanks to @rickhillni for getting me onto this from @PaulTripp - it’s been my paternity leave reading! A thread of some snippets from today’s chapter on ‘limits’ that I’ve found super helpful...
1) ‘No leader is meant to do his work alone. It is dangerous for any leader to be so dominant that the gifts of others don’t get expression, leaving that leader to do things he wasn’t gifted by God to do.’

TEAM matters.
2) ‘Ministry must always be done in humble, respectful and submissive community because the gifts God has given us come with built in limits.’
3) ‘Every leader needs to humbly assess not only where he/she is gifted but also, and as important, where he/she is NOT.’
4) ‘Humble leaders surround themselves not with ministry clones but with leaders who gave gifts they do not and are therefore smart in ways they are not and strong in areas they are weak...’
5) ‘...this kind of community will always produce a quality and longevity of fruit that won’t ever be produced by a domineering leader.’
