It’s said that Siddhar Thirumoolar was angered by Sattaimuni’s writings and even tore off one of his works. However, Sattaimuni Siddhar accepted it as another act of Shiva himself.

There’s an interesting story of how he got his name ‘Sattaimuni’.

It’s a little-known fact that many of the Siddhars are ardent worshippers of Bhagwan Siva. It is said that Bhagwan Shiva Himself presented him a woollen shirt (Kambali Sattai) on his visit to Kailasa. It is because of this, he came to be known as ‘Kailaaya Sattai Muni’.

Sattaimuni Siddhar’s work on Siddha medicine especially focusing on rejuvenation process is well known and his work “Sattaimuni Karpam -100” is followed by many even now. Also, his works on – Muppu and Kaya Karpam is of major importance.

because the elements in the universe exists in Man too; or in the other words, There is nothing in the Macrocosm of nature that is not present in Man. So man must be looked upon as an integral part of universal nature and not as anything separate or different from the later.

+ to have darshan of ‘Aranganathar’ - presiding deity of Thiruvarangam. However, by the time Siddhar reached the temple, the doors were closed. Sattaimuni Siddhar went into a trance and chanted Bhagwan’s name thrice – Aranga! Aranga! Aranga!

The temple bells chimed, and the door opened to receive Sattaimuni Siddhar.

When people reached the temple, they saw temple door wide open and Sattaimuni Siddhar standing nearby deity wearing he Jewels that adore the Moolavar.

The public & priests were suspicious and they at once removed the Jewels. They also took Sattaimuni Siddhar to King’s court, upon inquiry Sattaimuni Siddhar said ‘this is all but an act of Bhagwan’. When the King refused to believe it, Sattaimuni Siddhar asked him and others +

+ to accompany him to temple. Once again, upon reaching temple, Sattaimuni Siddhar went into a trance and thrice chanted Bhagwan’s name - Aranga! Aranga! Aranga!

The events repeated as before – the bells chimed, and the door flew open.
