I have almost 1,500 followers now. That's a lot of people who barely know who I am, other than being crazily enthusiastic about #NoCode.

Each day, I will post a fact about me for the next 100 days. So you can get to know me better 🙂
Fact 1:

Let's start at the beginning!

I was born in 1985. 🎂
My love for the outdoors and respect for wildlife has never changed. I'm most at peace in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature.
I have one sibling, an older brother. One year older than me. He is a geologist, now back living in Zimbabwe.
Countries and ages I lived there:

1-4: Zimbabwe
5-8: South Africa
9-15: Zimbabwe
15-19: England
19-24: Scotland
25-27: Zimbabwe
27-29: Australia

I dropped out of high school at 19 years old. I was not coping well with things in my personal life and I could not handle the additional stress of school. I returned to education at 21. 🧐
My first job was as a butcher's assistant working at a South African shop in England. @Susmansbiltong
I now make my own biltong at home using a dehydrator machine.

Biltong is a food from home (Zimbabwe) that I cannot live without. (It's similar to beef jerky).

I make a new batch every month or 2 and it usually lasts only 3 days.
I went back to College at 20 to study Photography. I got my Bachelors after 4 years.
I worked as a professional photographer between 2009 and 2014. Mostly in advertising, at an ad agency, where I also held a position as Art Director.
I migrated to Australia on a working holiday visa. I lived in Perth and had plans to work in the mining industry. Bad timing, the mining industry had a major slump the year I migrated.
I worked several jobs in Australia, including working in a vineyard in Frankland River. @FranklandEstate as well as volunteering in Tasmania at @LandcareTas
I hung up my camera in 2015 and changed careers when I moved to the Netherlands.
My first job in the Netherlands was as an Interaction Designer.
I moved to User Experience design after 1 year of interaction design.
I then moved in to a Product Management / Product Owner role for the next 3 years.
I now work in the customer experience role at @AdaloHQ

My favourite sport is Cricket. I support Zimbabwe's & South Africa's national teams. My favourite match format is twenty20 and my favourite IPL team is the Kolkata Knight Riders.
In cricket, I am a medium-fast pace bowler and my top recorded speed is 127 km/h
I am not a great batsman, normally batting at position 8. I am ambidextrous often switching between left handed and right handed while at the wicket. Annoying the opposition dramatically.
I am a board game geek. My top 5 games right now:

1. Powergrid
2. Settlers of Catan
3. Carcassonne
4. Citadels
5. Ticket to ride

My favourite book is The Greatest Show on Earth by Richard Dawkins followed closely by Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond
I am an enourmous movie fan. It is where a lot of my free time has been spent! I honestly have no idea what my favourite movie is anymore, sorry.
My hero is my mother. Words cannot explain the many reasons for this, especially not in a single tweet.
I have battled depression for the last 10 years of my life, weaving in and out on many occasions. I also occasionally suffer from severe anxiety. I still need to work more on both these aspects of my life.
I'm very lucky to have dozens of exceptionally close friends with whom I can share my life with. From many different areas of the globe.
My nickname is Coco. I can't really remember where or when it started. I think sometime in the last 7 years though as I don't remember it being a thing before then.
I am an atheist. I do not believe in any of the many gods, nor anything spiritual. I believe in science fully and I find beauty in it.
I have experienced tragic loss twice. My best friend in a paragliding accident in 2008 and my father in 2018. Both these events have shaped me in different ways.
I used to struggle with feeling empathy towards others but over the last 2 years, my empathy towards other people has grown exponentially. Sometimes, overwhelmingly so.
I am a cryer. I am not afraid to let the tears loose if they want to come out! I never used to cry, in fact, I think I went several years without shedding a single tear.
I am much more connected with my emotions and much less hesitant to share them publicly than ever before. Something I am proud to say I have worked on bettering over the last 2 years.
