Makes my blood boil, all Goves talk of introducing rigor and excess accountability for educators, he set out to actively deprofessionalise teachers, yet engaged in rank hypocrisy of the highest order.

He claimed it was about giving control to educators and parents but we've seen the reality, venture capitalists and private equity setting up MATs, CEOs on extraordinary remuneration, Google "academy scandal" or "academy conflict of interest" and you'll have a days reading
No one should be suprised at the corruption seen during covid by a government with Gove as a key character, the DfE has provided a profitable template for years.

Few realise just how rotten the DfE is at its core. Considering how useless the DfE have been this year its worth asking why they are still relying on these "experts" whilst refusing to engage meaningfully with unions who are the frontline workers.
Answer is vested interests intertwined with ideology.
