Everyday there’s a woman being embarrassed. Arguing over a mediocre man. A woman settling for less...There’s also a woman being valued by a man who loves her. A woman falling madly in love with herself. A woman choosing solitude over disrespect. We get to pick which woman to be.
So many women don’t realize this but whatever you settle for you choose. Whatever you allow you invite. So if he’s out here embarrassing you and you’re staying you’re not only choosing that you’re inviting him to keep going with more embarrassment and disrespect.
The minute you argue with another woman over a man that’s supposed to be “yours” you’ve lost. Because what’s truly yours will never have to be fought for. HE is supposed to make it clear to them that he’s yours. That’s not your job...
We put up with what we’re used to out of fear. But the truth is, those fears are lying to you. Once you break down what you’re afraid of, you’ll see you have no reason to be scared.
You’re scared to start over. The new beginning will change your life for the better. Scared to be alone. That time with you is how you find yourself. Scared to see him move on and treat her like he treats you. Baby, he treats you BAD. Let her have it.
It’s a beautiful thing when you wake up and choose yourself. When you choose to honor your standards by not lowering them just to have someone next to you. When you choose to walk away from anyone who makes you feel like you’re not worthy of the same love you give.
I want that peace for you. I want that growth for you. I want that healing for you. But it all starts with YOU...wanting it for yourself
