THREAD ON HAVING COVID
Hey Tweeps
just wanting to share some firsthand experience of having COVID. (I love your kind wellwishes but honestly not looking for sympathy/attn, just wanting to share realities of COVID & encourage ppl to be SUPER cautious rn
)
So I’m on day4
Hey Tweeps

So I’m on day4
Since symptoms started. Felt like I was coming down with a cold. It escalated within HOURS to feeling heinous. Went to get test the next day. Day1/2 was terrible chest cold feeling, hard time breathing, awful cough. Felt shaky and woozy a little. Day 3 got +test result back.
By the time the test result came in I felt truly awful. By far feels like a combo of the worst cold I’ve ever had and food poisoning....yeah, GI symptoms
breathing still laboured but manageable. I am taking Tylenol every few hrs or else the fever is bad. I know all colds/flus

Make you tired but the fatigue I’m experiencing is pretty intense. If I’m out of bed for more than like ten min I just feel dizzy and weak like I will fall over. So I’m having to time and space out tasks I need to do like feed blueberry, make soup or tea. Oh COVID also includes
A constant raging headache. And of course the Covid classic:no taste/no smell. It’s a bit bizarre. I made a spicy noodle cup and added an obscene amount of Mexican hot sauce, still nothing. Anyway I’m thankful it’s not so bad I have to be in hospital but COVID is definitely
Kicking my ass, I do NOT recommend. Also, i am a reasonably healthy 36yo, and I’d be scared to see what this does to a person that has compromised health or a senior who is frail. So please.... be vigilant. Just because Jason Kenney and his band of jerkoffs didn’t do a circuit
Breaker shutdown, I strongly encourage you to pretend there is a shutdown. Stay home, order online, do curbside. If you catch yourself thinking “well I just have that one shopping trip” ask yourself if this is how you want to feel over Christmas. Spoiler alert- you DONT trust me!
