Where do people who wear face masks think the air they breathe in comes from and the air they breathe out go to?

Where do people who wear face masks think the atmospheric air humidity goes to as it passes through their face mask? This is the air humidity in London today.

Where do people who wear face masks think small aerosols (air humidity) go to when they breathe in or out?

Aerosols—tiny, airborne liquid particles— present throughout the atmosphere. Examples of visible water aerosols are fog, mist.

Or is the theory that as someone is speaking to you the ejected spittle bypasses all the air as in a vacuum and lands directly in your open mouth?

Methinks these people do not understand how many liquid aerosols are present in the air at any one time, including the air they breathe in and out all the time, with or without a face mask. A face mask is NOT an air dehumidifier.

Do people who wear face masks also think that if they were to walk through a fog with a face mask the face mask would stop the liquid aerosols of the fog from entering or exiting their mouth?

People who fundamentally believe that face masks are a cross between a portable Black Hole & an ultra efficient micro air dehumidifier are calling those who refuse to wear them nutters!
