My biggest takeaway from living through the last two elections is, I NEVER in my life wanna hear anyone try to tell me voting doesn't matter.
If anything, voting has proven to be the ONLY thing that matters, politically at least. https://twitter.com/AP/status/1335021969432072192

Trump's blatant corruption didn't matter. Trump's abject ineptitude didn't matter. Trump's insufferable narcissism didn't matter. Trump's petulance and ill-tempered ranting didn't matter.
The allegations against him didn't matter when he ran in 2016, even when he all but confirmed them on tape.
Trump's impeachment didn't matter. The Senate wouldn't vote him out.

Literally ALL that mattered was, Trump won the 2016 election, so he got his four years. Nothing else mattered.
And now that Trump lost the 2020 election, THAT'S all that matters. He can angrily tweet and demand as many recounts and lawsuits as he wants. None of it is working.

To the American political establishment, election results are the be-all end-all. It's the axis their whole world turns on. It's the only way we, the people, can be SURE to demonstrably change anything.
I'm never missing an election again. Ever. And neither should you.
