Now DIY SOS is a show where Nick and his team recruit friends, family, local traders and companies to help transform a home of an unfortunate family in Britain.
The houses they build on need a lot of work sometimes due to a sudden life-changing incident to someone living there.

Watching the show, you can barely get through an episode without crying.
Like this family...whose house was rebuilt with a conditioned clean air system, downstairs bathrooms, etc as the the little boy, Arlo, has a lung condition so rare it's never been seen before in the UK.

What makes this show so amazing is that these transformations are done in crazy short time frames. Weekends sometimes.
And these quick turnaround times are only possible because of two reasons - money and personnel.
Both of which are 100% volunteered to the project. Good eh?

...just to turn these people’s lives, which have been unfairly destroyed and disturbed, back to normality again.
