Like...I appreciate how y'all can still somehow make something so used up interesting each time....but can you imagine how amazing it would be if you put the same effort into using other mythos that are barely explored or showcased in your work?

People keep giving the excuse on how it's too scary to tackle a living religion, and that's why it's not done, yet people have no issues stareotyping and portraying them in the most surface level way.
Or how they're totally fine exploring Christianity and christian concepts.

All this tells me is that y'all are ok using "dead" mythos because you can do bare minimum effort, possibly fuck it up, and still have something successful cause no one knows better or cares.
