Am I really going to spend my weekend ranting about microwave weapons? Isn’t anyone writing about this issue even curious how their microwave oven works?

It’s not a terrible starting point.
Not a single person who has attempted to link the symptoms to microwave energy has ever described -- based on known engineering and science -- what this device what would look like, or how it would operate.

Because that's where the entire story falls apart.
Scientific mysteries are a harder sell than microwave weapons. But the diplomats and CIA officials who are suffering health problems deserve better. Better journalism, better government/transparency, and better science.
How to resolve statements like "nothing like them had previously been documented in medical literature" and later, symptoms are "consistent with the effects of directed, pulsed radio frequency (RF) energy."

How can both be true?
FYI, Brooks Air Force Base has studied human/animal effects of directed energy for decades, for both weapons and incidental exposure. I one FOIA'ed their work and they sent me back pages and pages of unclassified studies.
Here's a gem from the NBC article: "A source directly familiar with the matter told NBC News... some Russian intelligence agents who had worked on microwave weapons programs were present in the same cities."

Who? Vlad, the microwave weapon agent? The CIA has his number? Great!
The CIA has identified Secret Microwave Agent Vlad and other "Russian intelligence agents who had worked on microwave weapons programs" but can't seem to locate a microwave device which, to have targeted individuals inside buildings, would have been, well, quite large.
Reader's digest version: The Russians were bombarding the U.S. embassy with microwaves and it was detected. CIA freaked out and thought it was mind control so Pentagon started a ludicrous and secret microwave weapons study, Project Pandora.

Guess what? Not mind control!
The price of shoddy science is American diplomats who were effected never got clear answers. I later interviewed two diplomats who served in the U.S. Embassy in Moscow from that era.

Saddest part: No one ever followed up on their health long-term. https://foreignpolicy.com/2017/10/31/the-e-r-from-moscow-to-havana-secret-weapons-and-diplomats/
Anyhow, if anyone has lead on Vlad the Microwave Weapons Agent, my DMs are open. But, meantime, maybe look what studies came out of Russia recently on RF effects on humans. Indication if they're active in this area these days.

Back to my weekend. Stay safe, it's a crazy world.
