I've seen a few posts warning us not to make your hobby a job or you will regret it. The problem I see isn't that you stop loving what you do, it's all the stuff you have to do to be successful that you will regret.
I very much enjoy making maps and developing other content. To bring them to market, however, I also have to spend days creating marketing materials, building a brand, and maintaining a presence.
I consider myself lucky that I have the resources to do these things but they sometimes keep me so busy that I can't do the part I really enjoy.
