Vallejo's Axis of Evil & Corruption (THREAD)

Please RT & share with anyone who cares about Vallejo.

Current "leadership" in Vallejo is an absolute disgrace, serving their own self-interests at the expense of our community. Here's an incomplete list of their failures:
City Manager Greg Nyhoff
-illegally fired FOUR whistleblowers to cover up (1) the disgusting practice of Vallejo PD cops celebrating murdering civilians by bending their badges and throwing BBQs and (2) selling out Mare Island after shady secret meetings w developers in Tennessee
Chief Asst. City Attorney Randy Risner
-sanctioned by a federal court for fraud
-cleared Nyhoff's name after a sham investigation that led to Nyhoff firing three high-level city employees in retaliation
-continuously attempts to undermine his history of domestic violence

(CW)
Councilmember Hakeem Brown
-long documented history of violent domestic abuse "bordering on torture" starting over two decades ago until at least as recently as 2012
-we will not write out the details of his violence but see the screenshots below (CW // domestic violence)
VPD Chief Shawny Williams
-waited 38hrs after Sean Monterrosa was murdered to inform his family
-lied and said Sean wasn't pronounced dead immediately
-initially said Sean had his hands up but changed his statement to match VPOA's lie that he was crouched in a "tactical" position
Vallejo Police Officers Assoc. President Lt. Michael Nichelini
-currently on "administrative leave" (aka suspension) along with Lt. Fabio Rodriguez for destroying evidence in the Sean Monterrosa murder case
Salaries (+benefits) of the "leaders" listed above:
Nyhoff: $420,549
Risner: $308,808
Brown: $32,230 (pt-time)
Williams: $533,047
Nichelini: $389,108

People always say "Vallejo's broke." This is why. Our city leaders invest our $ in their own pockets instead of in our community.
Our City Council has also been atrocious. Within the past year, City Council voted--against the wishes of the community--to raise the VPD budget, allow for the implementation of cell-site simulators, and sellout Mare Island to Nyhoff's corrupt business partners for literally $1.
City Council (cont).
Despite widespread calls from the community to defund our violent police department, Council voted to raise the police budget by $4.2M (46% of Vallejo's general fund).

Below are the results of The People's Budget Survey (n=1400) vs. the actual budget passed.
The five city "leaders" that we've highlighted here are representative of a bigger problem. Vallejo has fallen to corruption and these five want to hold our city underwater until it drowns. They are Vallejo's Axis of Evil. Our city will not see healing until they are all ousted.
