A thread on Douma and his character as a whole, because people keep painting him out as only a mean heartless demon who eats women ! 
Be aware that this thread will contain spoilers from the manga. Warning, there will also be talk of abuse !!!
Douma is a demon apart of the 12 Kizuki, Upper Moon 2. He is known for showing a happy care-free persona, and for being the leader of a cult, Eternal Paradise cult.
Ever since Douma was a child, he has been a leader of the Eternal Paradise cult. His parents basically forced him to be. Iāll explain why in the next reply
Douma was born with peculiar silver hair and rainbow eyes. Because of this, his parents thought he was very special, and he could hear gods. This is when they took advantage of him and made him the leader of their cult. You know, like shitty parents
They took Doumaās childhood away from him. Instead of having fun like a child should be doing at his age, he had to deal with the pain, suffering and venting of grown people...
This plays a major roll in why Douma turned out the way he did. He cannot feel emotions because all his life, he forced himself to āfeelā the emotions of the people who worshipped him. Again, this goes Right back to his parentsā shitty parenting.
This is also why in reality he has such a cold, heartless personality.
But honestly, he really is not all that bad in his heart. For example, he took in Kotoha who was being abused by her husband and mother in law. He whole heartedly planned to raise Inosuke with her until she passed.
Douma is so much more than a demon who killed the Kocho sisters. He is an extremely well written character, and also a sad one. People seem to only look at the surface of his backstory because he wasnāt physically abused, but he was Very much mentally abused.
