For those of you that don't know, I run a Yankees blog with my boys @mr_bobloblaw, @derekalbin, and @mimbro1. One of the funniest things about running the blog is the amount of people who are trying to out-analyze you. Some folks will look at one stat and beat it into the ground.

None of us are professing to be experts or reinventing the wheel here. We do have some idea of what we're talking about and can easily research the numbers like everyone else. You're not winning a cookie for these liberal arts college-level debates surrounding one stat.

There are certain things that can be treated as fact with a very routine level of research. It is hilarious when people will dig up one random stat to refute a fact just so they can try to be the smart guy in the room. We honestly don't care. You're smarter than us. It's cool.
