Cont... is not the answer. Whole class instrumental lessons should never replace classroom music lessons. The violin is recognised as one of the hardest instruments to learn for a reason. As such, it’s not how we are going to engage more youngsters in classical music.

Teach a love and appreciation of music. This will lead to instrument uptake, but crucially, an uptake in the right instrument for the child.
We finished this week with a Brahms violin concerto mash up. The kids loved it more than anything else...
