Thought it would be fun to do a thread of the canon Jedi Temples that we know about so far! I'm sure the High Republic will add more and expand on a few of these.

Starting with the most ancient temples: Ahch-To, Nu-Jedha, and Tython.
Constructed tens of thousands of years before the fall of the Old Republic and rise of the Empire, the temple on Ahch-To was the first Jedi Temple according to sources. Hewn into a mountain, the Temple sat among the home of the Caretakers and porgs.
It has an icon of the Prime Jedi, thought to be the first Jedi. Ironically, Ahch-To was almost the place where the Jedi Order would be laid to death by the final Jedi Master, Luke Skywalker.
Ahch-To seems to be built with an eye toward balance: the cliff opening to the icon allows light to filter into the meditation chamber. A tree with the power of the Dark Side sits below, in an underwater ocean cave.
Another ancient site, Ni-Jedha, sat on the moon of Jedha. This site is also rumored to be one of the first Jedi Temples, with a deposit of kyber crystals at the Temple of Kyber, which power the lightsabers of the Jedi.
At some point, the temple fell out of use by the Jedi as more efficient hyperspace lanes were developed, but was soon protected by the Guardians of the Whills and visited by other practitioners of Force religions, like the Church of the Force and the Central Isopter.
Finally, Tython. According to some scholars, like Dr. Aphra, Tython, too, was one of the sites of an ancient temple. It seems like there might have been a few: one called Martyrium of Frozen Tears in the Meridional Ice Cap, and another on a mountain.
During the Galactic Civil War, Dr. Aphra took the Empire to the Martyrium, where Darth Vader was forced to relive his failures as a Jedi Knight. Purge survivor Grogu attempted to reach out to the Force at a different temple. Being an Outer Rim planet, it fell into disuse.
Of course, other planets would be rumored candidates for the original Temple, like the one on Ossus. The Temple on Ossus contained a great library and a temple at one point. Important documents like the Chronicles of Med'eeth and the Rammahgon survived the supposed destruction.
The Rammahgon became an important text in the war between the First Order and the Resistance, as it contained information on the origin of the universe and the Jedi, Sith Wayfinders, and the Sith planet of Exegol.
Some planets hosted Temples due to their strategic points on hyperspace maps, like the Temple at Ilum. Others had significance to the Jedi due to naturally occurring resources or its connection to the Force. Ilum was one such planet.
The Temple was built over a kyberite core, and Jedi went to the Temple to find kyber crystals when it was time for them to build their own lightsabers. The kyber became useful to Sidious's empire, and the planet was converted to a superweapon in the First Order.
Ilum would eventually be destroyed by the Resistance in 34 ABY after it was converted to Starkiller Base, a superweapon that used kyber crystals to destroy multiple planets at once.
The temple on Lothal also carried significance for the Jedi. The temple could only be accessed by a Jedi and their Master by use of the Force. Many Jedi took their students there, and usually both were tested there.
During the Galactic Civil War, a few Jedi discovered that the Temple also contained a pathway to something called the World Between Worlds, wherein all of time and space were connected by the Force.
A family of beings called the Ones lived in the World Between Worlds, as it was tied to a mystical monolith called Mortis. Somehow, the Ones and the Jedi interacted, and the Ones ingrained themselves into Jedi history.
The Temple at Eedit was built over a vergence in the Force, so visitors felt that it was a place to experience rebirth and gain fortitude. The Temple was also used as an outpost in the Clone War by the Jedi Generals.
After the Empire colonized Devaron, the Temple became off-limits to visitors, despite its importance to the Devarion population. Here, Luke would experience the remnants of the training exercises that remained on his quest to revive the Jedi.
Of course, other Jedi Temples would be used as outposts in the Clone War. One was destroyed by General Grievous at Ledeve after it gave him a vision of his life gone astray.
Another temple, on Vrogas Vos, was visited by Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Clone War; later, Luke Skywalker would explore the ruins after a suicide-run trying to destroy Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Other Temples rose to prominence in the Galactic Civil War. One Temple was located on Devaron, where the Alliance had one of their bases.
The Massassi Great Temple on Yavin 4 was used by the Alliance at the height of the Civil War. Built by Massassi slaves, the Temple was abandoned when the Massassi went extinct.
The Great Temple was completely repurposed by the Alliance, who blew through the walls and created new architecture within.
Other Temples were connected with the Sith as well. The Ashas Rees Temple of the Force was built around a Sith artifact, hopefully to contain the evil within. This drew the interest of Supreme Leader of the First Order, Kylo Ren.
Another Jedi Temple was built on a Sith Temple: Coruscant. This temple became the homebase of the Jedi Order centuries leading up to the Clone War, before Darth Sidious converted it to be the center of Imperial power.
This Temple would be where many Jedi were trained and raised. The close proximity to the capital of the Republic also meant that the Jedi, for most of the reign of the Republic, would work almost as agents for the government rather than peacekeepers.
Unfortunately, even Jedi Masters fell under the sway of the Republic as it was corrupted, and the Temple on Coruscant became a hotbed of political unrest, causing revolts, riots, Jedi to leave the Order, and its own eventual downfall.
