so, @Volksgeist_ , I just saw your video on Everywhere At The End of Time. I'm really happy you covered it. It's one of my favorite pieces of media of all time and I thought the personal story at the end was beautiful.

and we couldn't properly say our western goodbyes to her. I saw her body get taken away by some dudes and that was it.
I spent the rest of the evening listening to EATEOF.
She died after a 7 year battle with alzheimer's.
In 1984, my grandfather had a massive stroke. [Con't]

They gave him two days to live. He ended up living 19 years, until finally he passed away in 2003. He was semi-paralized, in bed. He could speak, but he couldn't do much else.
She took care of him for those 19 grueling years. By his side. Left only for a two week [con't]

..vacation in Greece, the country her father was originally from. A dream of her for a lifetime.
She never complained, she never felt like she couldn't. She couldn't afford to.
She was the most resilient, fierce, loyal and strong woman I've ever met in my life. [con't]

She was also a sweetheart. She cooked like a grandma should cook. She was the full package. The real deal. My biggest inspiration. Forever.
The last seven years got her reduced to a husk of what she was. They say with Alzheimer's you get reduced to your most basic self. [con't]

Well. The last times I saw her all she could do was smile and laugh. We didn't know at what she was laughing, but she loved those unrecognizable people that were invading her house.
She talked and talked. She mumbled incomprehensible words, but she never stopped laughing.[con't]

Goes to show you that, in a weird way, her resilient, immovable optimism was a core value in her. She wasn't just doing what the silent generation society told her she was supposed to do. She was her. That was true fucking love.
It was a sad ending to a beautiful woman [con't]

but, even though she couldn't remember any of it by the end, her life will be etched in stone forever in everyone she ever met.
EATEOT is a horror album. It's a harrowing experience. It tears your soul apart. But it's beautiful.
Thank you for the video.
