On the way to China now. Below is a record of the journey😂. 1. 2 days ago tested covid pcr and antibody (blood test), uploaded the negative results of both to wechat, and received a green QR code.
2. At the airport check in counter, staff checked the green QR code before issuing a boarding pass. And asked me to scan another QR code to fill in another Chinese custom declaration form.
3. At the gate, staff checked the QR code, which is a result of the self declaration form before letting me into the gate.
4. At the bridge, met with staff member in full protective suit and protective glasses, squeezed sanitizer into both of my hands
5. Another 2 staff members in full protective gear checked passengers’ temperatures and recorded the temperature of each person and their seat number . I heard them saying there will be a few more round of temperature checking after take off. 😂
6. On the plane , Passengers were given 5 paper forms to fill in. Questions including have you been in public places including hospital/restaurants/theatres in last 14 days , if so have you been not wearing a mask and within 1 m distance of another person
7. Two more temperate checks on the plane. And the crew recorded each person’s temperatures
8. After the planes landed there were 8 or 9 checks, including checking the bar code of a form filled in at London airport, temperature checks, covid tests on both throat and nose and various paper forms etc etc.
9. Speaking of privacy, at the boarder control, the immigration officers use very loud speakers to speak to (interrogate) each person. Everyone in the queue can hear what’s going on. đŸ€Ș
10. After all the checks , everyone are sent on a bus to a random hotel for 14 days quarantine. I am on the bus right now and don’t know where I am going. How exciting. 😂
