Compare the congratulations conservatives get for doing less than the bare minimum on climate change with the vitriol they’re allowed to heap on others for proposing anything close to what is needed.

Like offering congrats on being almost toilet trained.

Just a reminder -
Last year @ScottMorrisonMP campaigned loudly that the ALP wanted to “end the weekend” by proposing 50% of new car sales by 2030 be EV.

The UK is now going to *end* the sale of new internal combustion engine cars and vans by 2030.

So please hold off an any congrats to this utter hypocrite who has worked his entire political life to push back in action on climate change.

The only reason Morrison or anyone else in the Liberal Party will move an inch on climate change policy is because they can see a bloody big target being put on Australia by the rest of the world.

And it’s a target that would not exist had not those same climate change miscreants not removed the carbon price.

This is not a party wanting things done in the 1950s to be forgotten.

It’s things done by the Abbott, Turnbull and Morrison governments- they pumped up Adani, they screamed lies about renewables, they called action “ideological”.

And even now they do much less than enough

Maybe hold them to account for being completely on the wrong side of history for now more than 3 decades

And one final thing - Morrison is not dumping the Kyoto carry-over credits because it is the right thing to do but because action by the *states* and the pandemic have meant it isn’t needed and also because our Kyoto targets were *purposefully* *pathetic*!
