Georgia COVID-19, 12/4

Cases: 494,354, +6,376 (🚨new high!)
Deaths: 9,725, +77
Current Hospitalizations: 2,366, +66
New PCR Tests (ELR sample): 38,355, 12.1% positive https://dph.georgia.gov/covid-19-daily-status-report
Almost 6,400 new cases in Georgia today, which is obviously a new high, but so are the 4,947 new PCR cases w 12.1% positive. It's not just the addition of antigen tests. It's not just Thanksgiving backlog either. We're starting to see post-holiday cases.
Hospitalization admissions are up as hospitals continue to fill. Concerns about capacity are spilling into the news.
Deaths are also up, and now I feel it's important to include probable cases in the numbers as they continue to grow daily. My main numbers now include both, though I report the breakdown on the graph.
County COVID Cases (Top 5)
Fulton: 42,719, +589
Gwinnett: 42,016, +667
Cobb: 31,690, +468
DeKalb: 28,943, +434
Hall: 13,384, +175

Big changes
Whitfield: : +184
Clayton: +175
Richmond: +171
Cherokee: +170
Columbia: +141
Henry: +128
Forsyth: +113
Paulding: +105
7-Day Case Growth
Gwinnett: 2,767
Fulton: 2,534
Cobb: 2,051
Non-GA Res/Unk St: 1,666
DeKalb: 1,638

Again, these numbers are misleadingly *low* because so many cases haven't been given a county classification yet (~250 more today).
County Deaths (Top 5)

Cobb: 520, +3

(of note)
Non-GA Res/Unk St: +11

(Death maps now include probable and confirmed deaths.)
