1/Posting new figures, updated from Allegheny Co's dashboard. My goal is to alleviate Dr. Bogen's expressed "pain" and "heartbreak" in reporting "record-breaking" positive test results and any private terror she is experiencing with 26 reported deaths.
2/Hospitalizations remain a small fraction of positive tests found.
3/Deaths remain a tiny fraction of positive tests found.
4/Despite a greater number of hospitalizations this month compared to the county's "worst" month (July), deaths are still a mere fraction of hospitalizations (and low overall).
5/Perspective is very helpful when managing negative mood states like "heartbreak" and "pain" - I suggest that Dr. Bogen and the rest of @HealthAllegheny and media get some perspective soon. Hint: It helps to look at the actual numbers.
