With all this discussion about policing - reform vs defund vs abolish - I'm wondering where Black women fit into all of this.
Black women deal with high rates of violence that has never been thoroughly addressed nor rectified. From abuse to sex trafficking to murders.

Black trans women are being murdered practically every day.
Our little girls are treated like adults in the justice system.
The fact that I'm asking this doesn't mean I hate Black folks and love the police. The entire justice system needs an overhaul in my view.

But I want any ideas about restorative justice/reform to center Black women as victims of misogynoir. And speaking for myself, I want the choice to seek legal redress and not have some folks in the community try to shame me into "forgiveness".
I want to see Black women victims of police brutality (which includes sex workers exploited by law enforcement) given priority in these discussions.
