Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and World Managers thread because I’m seeing some absolute crap being spoken on both sides of this discussion. So let me be clear, I will always support the MUFC manager no matter who it is but guys you have to be able to analyze so here goes:
Ole came in to the Manchester United job to fix the absolute shambles Jose Mourinho left the club in and Ole did that and has been successful.

To those who call him a PE teacher or that he has no tactics. All I can say is you’ve probably never played at a high level.
Solskjaer has shown time and again to get tactics spot on against the big teams and has actually recruited very well for Manchester United. He has steadied the ship and put Man Utd in the position to actually compete with the bigger clubs in the PL.
Ole when coming up with a plan has actually been very successful at Manchester United because he’s a good coach. But what separates a good coach from a great manager? In game adjustments, it’s what Fergie was great at. This is where Ole struggles.
Many will criticize his substitutions as I have myself and some of it is warranted but his biggest problem for me is just the timing of decisions during the game. His reaction time when things need to change is just too slow right now to be classed as a great manager.
For me the Ole In and Ole Out debate is a mute point. He’s done very well at United and actually as a whole earned his contract that he has currently. Does this make him the right man for the long term? Probably not if the inconsistencies in the team remain.
Great , Premier League winning teams are consistent. You see it every year the most consistent team is always dangerous. That’s how Leicester won the league. In a year where the big teams struggled they were consistent and did the impossible!
Now to those that berate Poch and Tuchel, because they haven’t proven much? You actually have to look at the style and what they got out of their teams. Poch over achieved at Spurs. They were probably the best team in the league for about 2-3 seasons other than Man City.
Their squad was too small to actually stick around until the end. Those players loved him and the same can be said for Tuchel. Both managers are excellent communicators and excellent managers. Personally this debate is getting old.
I will be back on later and will provide analysis on each of these managers as I think it’s important for people to understand. Stop being reactionary and just analyze what’s happening as an overall.
