Plutocracy = Oligarchy, where the main requirement to be one of the Oligarchs is that you have enough money to be capable of buying Politicians via Campaign Donations and Lobbyists

'The American People' (Masses) wield power by casting votes for various politicians.

'The Ruling Class' (Owners Of The Country) (Billionaires and Large Corporations) wield power by bribing politicians via 'Campaign Donations' to do their bidding.

From 1990 - 2020, The Ruling Class has managed to own almost every politician who makes it to Washington DC.

Most members of Congress are Corporate Democrats and Corporate Republicans (Democrats and Republicans bought by the Owners Of The Country).

Corporate Democrats and Corporate Republicans do whatever it is that the parties who sign the checks for their Campaign Donations tell them to do.

The American People (The Masses) are given the *Illusion of Choice* when they cast their votes; they can vote for a Democrat, or a Republican.

What most members of The American People fail to notice, is that both of the 2 options on the ballot, have been pre-approved by The Ruling Class; the 2 options on the ballot are a 'Corporate Democrat' or a 'Corporate Republican'.

As such, the elections are rigged so that no matter who wins (Democrat or Republican), the interests of The Ruling Class (Billionaires and Large Corporations) are secure.

On many issues, the will of The American People, and the will of The Ruling Class, are opposed.

On every such issue, from 1990 - 2020 'The American People' have been losing and 'The Ruling Class' has been winning.
