Sports gambling in the US is heating up with @DKSportsbook @FDSportsbook @BetMGM @BSSportsbook spending 100s of millions on expansion to gain market share.

Multiple "winners" will emerge, but the largest market share will be acquired by doing the following.

I believe it comes down to two specific items.

A solution to reduce user acquisition costs & product innovation.
Well, how do you reduce UA costs in a market when competitors are LITERALLY giving away money to have you sign up?
Product innovation in the form of developer tools is what is going to be the difference-maker.

Look at the success @Snap @Twitter & @Facebook had by building SDKs to allow other apps to easily add new features in return for brand distribution and extremely valuable data.
How could it work….

Your favorite team is the Mavs so you download their app and you see a new feature available “Mavs Predictor”

You sign in with DK and you are given a series of prop bets to predict that coordinate with an upcoming game.
After the game starts your picks are locked and you can track the status of them throughout the game.
Option #2

For a more lean-in experience, they can offer in-play bets for future events that have a more immediate outcome.

Who will score next? How many 3s will be hit in the next 5 minutes?

Select your pick, place a points-based wager, and wait for the result.
By doing this DK is creating a winning experience for everyone involved.

- The Mavs increase fan engagement & app downloads.
- Users are provided with a fun experience with an opportunity to win prizes.
- DK increased engagement with its brand & acquired additional users.
There are hundreds of professional sports teams with millions of fans that would opt-in to these experiences. Acquiring free to play users in markets where gambling is not YET legal will be crucial.

A gambling company is going to do this and that company will come out on top.
DraftKings is spending $100MM on a recent partnership with the Cubs. Executing something like this would not only be cheaper but would drive more results.
