Simultaneously he (rightly) fears an unceasing backlash for living a life where he's true to himself
And that backlash was fucking IMMEDIATE.

I'm not trans, so I do not know exactly what @TheElliotPage's exp. feels like, but I'm a polymorphously queer Black man, in the intersection of several ethnic, academic, & societal cultures which don't cotton to my kind 'round their parts
— regardless of which or all of my parts they don't cotton to.

So I want to thank @TheElliotPage. I know we'll probably never meet, but he's a good dude who has loudly & publicly thrown his support into the LGBTQIA+ community, & he deserves more than any shit being thrown at him
So thank you @TheElliotPage. Know that you are supported, you are seen, and you are appreciated, by so so many.
