We've discovered some surprising things as a result of having to adapt due to Covid-19. And we might hang onto them once things get back to normal.
1. Students like virtual 1:1 careers advice and support - as long as they don't have to put the camera on! #CareersLeadersCan https://twitter.com/CareerEnt/status/1334791105947308037
2. Employers are really rising to the challenge of virtual insight visits and work experience. Not having to travel means that students potentially get the inside story on more businesses. And there are some very caring people out there @BBC_Global_News @OttoCarUK @ICR_London
3. It's really difficult to get students to engage in a careers programme when you're not seeing them every day (due to restricted timetable, reduced time in school and social distancing), but they do read their emails more and making a connection on the phone is really powerful
4. Learning to adapt is a life skill that will stay with our young people and make them immensely employable, if we can just nurture them through the hard times now. None of their choices are as easy as they were a year ago, but that's why we're here for them #CareersLeadersCan🤗
