(thread) I’m seeing too much misinformation about the vaccines on her daily. It has become so bad that I can’t stay silent on the topic. Working in the industry I think qualifies me to do so. Please take some of the things I tweet below to heart, or you can laugh me off. Whatever
You may think the vaccine was “rushed” because it happened so fast. Truth is we had the entire world’s smartest people mobilize at once to find a cure for this. This is a global pandemic. Covid also had many similarities to the SARS virus. This helped to crack the code sooner.
The company I work for is developing a plasma therapy derived from the plasma of covid recovered patients. We formed an alliance with our biggest competitors to share information in hopes of a breakthrough. The same people we compete against daily now became teammates.
As far as speeding up the process, all that was done in most cases was the skipping of animal trials straight to human trials based on the dire need for a vaccine. The FDA DOES NOT PLAY around, they aren’t making special exceptions won’t be pushing unproven drugs to market.
Companies are having to go through the same process as they would for any other virus vaccine. The process is just being expedited. Despite the misinformation out there, when a company says it’s 95% effective. It’s 95% effective. Numbers aren’t made up. study after study happens.
You should not be scared of vaccines. We’ve eradicated the most deadly viruses of human history using them and this one is no different. If just 50% of the country would take the covid vaccine, herd immunity would happen within weeks of that. We need it to return to normal life.
I know it’s easier to watch a YouTube video and fall for some wild shit, but please listen to people in the industry. I have nothing to gain from this, but the dangerous misinformation in this country has to stop.
If you’re worried about side effects, stop taking Tylenol and over the counter drugs because most of them will have the same side effects listed as the flu vaccine or the upcoming covid vaccine.
You can be wary of vaccines if you want to and continue to believe conspiracy theories about microchips and Bill Gates being the devil, but the longer you sit back idly, the longer it will be before we can all return to our normal non-socially distanced and happy lives.
I’ve remained steadfast from the very beginning that a vaccine would be widely available for the general population by Q1 of 2021 and were still trending that way. My fiancée being on the front lines will get the vaccine before me, but I’ll line up as soon as it’s ready for me.

For those not familiar with the FDA, when they show up to your site and they show up at random, you’ll never see more puckered up assholes. I’ve seen entire departments get fired after an FDA visit because everything wasn’t absolutely perfect. EVERY word spoken is recorded.
