Top 25 Worst of the Year in the World of Sneakers Thread.

Recapping everything wrong, dubious, scummy, or just plain dumb in 2020. This is not a worst shoes of the year list, this is everything else.

Starts right now.
Couple warnings

- A lot of dumb shit happened this year, I can't recap it all.
- A lot of Discord drama I don't get into cause thats just not my world
- If you're on the list, don't be mad at me. This is all in good fun. Unless you're a scammer.
Honorable Mentions:

- Real estate cookgroup by some 15 year old
- adidas makes no good non-Yeezy shoes in 2020
- fake sneaker store IG accounts sending scam invoices as raffle wins
- @footIockercad steals every tweet, but in a way that doesn't make you mad
25. Faking Donations for Clout https://twitter.com/realchegg/status/1244522215330152455?s=21
24. Restockworld restocks that if you used an auto-clicker, it fork bombed your Chrome browser and may banned your Discord. https://twitter.com/themacint0sh/status/1216545099741564941
23. Everyone flip flops on Union 4s

"you know what, they aiiiight on Justin Bieber"
22. The rise of bot prices

Bots being $4-6k means it's more of an investment than ever, and killing casual botting (unless it's mobile Supreme)
21. Getting egirls to promote your cookgroup https://twitter.com/RestockFlippers/status/1280922754473172992
20. Virgil donates $50

First Virgil criticized looting of stores without context, then posted donating $50. He later apologized, but deleted the apology from his IG. He also did say he did donate way more, but he had himself a couple days. At least we got "keep it 2 Virgils"
19. Both Nike and adidas not doing enough about internal racism

A lot of talk and performative posts, but not a lot of action yet. There were protests and walkouts at both.
18. Emily Oberg sells an Anti-Racism course for $97 during the height of BLM protests
17. @geejmasterflex says 10k isn't life changing. Also declares the virus over on June 6th, but "Tweets aren't loading right now".

10k thing led to some fun memes https://twitter.com/geejmasterflex/status/1278738669973667841?s=21
16. Taunting Stores or Flexing in Replies

You got some clout, but also turned a loop into a raffle or preorder, good job. https://twitter.com/mvhxmmd/status/1293215393402822662
15. Everything is a Raffle

Similar to the last one, but tagging friends and trying to figure out hCaptcha images all for 10 pairs of dunks really sucked this year.
14. StockX 50% Off Seller Fees Kills Resell for Weeks

Sure it's good to unload a few sneakers that may have high bids, but prices would crash across the board and for weeks. Worst thing was you never knew when they'd do it, so no way to prepare.
13. PalaceBot Fumbles the Bag

Bot that only worked on Shoe Palace had so much hype and worked so well that SP had to change to Shopify and killed all of the bot's value. I'm sure the people who had keys did alright, but still. https://twitter.com/palacebotio/status/1289653834763997184?s=21
12. Guy trades in his FOG Canary for Yeezy QNTM at ASW

adidas eventually gave him the FOG back, but for a while we all enjoyed this idiocy. And QNTMs barely go for over retail now. https://twitter.com/Ovrnundr/status/1228430036560162819
11. Cody Thrive and Cringe Sneaker TikTokers

He also claimed the virus is a hoax
10. Vintage Sneaker Worship

I get it on some OG dunks or Jordans, but did Sacai Vaporwaffles really need to be aged? Back in 2013, every Youtube video was about fixing the yellowing, and I'm sure it will be again in 2022.
9. Simping for Bots

I had to mute this #balkotomydms challenge tag. Or this dude that got a Hayha bot tattoo
8. Music AF1

The sneaker every reseller thought was gonna be a movie, but is now an asset recovery mission.
7. Resell to Riches / Matthew Davis decided it would be a good idea to sell this sticker. https://twitter.com/ravioliandbeans/status/1322994399714942976
6. CopDate Paid Boosts

First CopDate couldn't handle the traffic for Travis SBs, then unveiled a system to pay for extra entries for your raffle. Even though how they pick winners is not transparent at all, and any shop can pre-select friends as winners.
5. DarkAIO

Was apparently just a bot made of cracked code from all the other popular bots. https://twitter.com/nosinunpunished/status/1319804253838495751?s=21
4. Anders / KaiserFramework

Also apparently a bot made of cracked code, but this time the guy says some racist shit, then claims he doesn't give af when called out, but then says he's depressed and deactivates. https://twitter.com/polarchris_/status/1296902592652607489?s=21
3. Custom AJ1s

Every IG account with 3000 followers decided it's time to expand the brand and make a garbage knock off AJ1. At least this Dick and Balls AJ1 makes me laugh every time.
2. Business Insider articles

I don't give af if it was so you can get your Twitter verified, or it looks good on the resume, it was all wack. Burning loops for clout so you can show your mom the outline version of the article. Clout is the most dangerous drug.
1. Warren Lotas

Who else could it be really? The admitted culture vulture clown prince tried to rip off Nike dunks, sold $10mil of them. Then tried to bait and switch them with sort of Reaper trash shoe.

WL, the clown suit is all yours.
Thanks for following along everyone! I also hope @7zarc and @SyedSole still make their recap videos.

Like I said, I couldn't get to everything, it's been a long year. Reply here if there's something you think that is worthy of the list.
