Riding the #vespa at sunset.
This has been my bike since 2002.
When I bought it new, I was not looking for a fancy bike.
I was working as a courier, I was riding 30k Km every year and my former Honda CB 250 was too expensive to handle.
I was working for my bike shop and I needed a cheap and stubborn ride.

I got it as my workhorse.
The first three years, I would ride another 100K Km with it, and then we moved to Madrid, and I started using it to commute, but I would still drive 60 km every day just to get to Uni.

It was still a workhorse, and I took no picture of the Vespa, until this one in 2005
At some point, we moved back to Valencia, and my wife got the driving license for driving the Vespa. Since we had the vehicle, it kind of made sense that she could also use it.
One day, I saw a bike rental business that just opened in Valencia, and I told my wife about renting a second scooter and going out for a ride.
And this is how we started spending time together, going out for a Sunday morning ride.
We started by going out one Sunday, and then waiting a whole year for the next chance.
Having three small kids means that you get busy with them, and that is alright, that is the life we want to live.
But going out for a ride from time to time is nice.
As kids grew, we would use the Vespa for driving them to Basket games and so on, this kind of child delivery you practice at certain point.
Last year, we decided to level up our hobby, and we got a Honda Rebel 500
A kid friendly one, with backrest and hard sidecases, just in case.
And we still go for a Sunday ride, this time without having to rent a second bike.
Or, we can rent a second bike and plan a weekend ride.
This is also a great way to spend time together.
When I got the Vespa, I didn´t want a fancy bike, I don´t like MOD music and Quadrophenia is absolutely overrated.

But the Vespa is a great piece of engineering.
And I never imagined it was going to last this long, and there she goes.
