Anti-CAA/NRC protests happened across the country. At a larger scale than the Farmer protests. But nobody from the government invited Muslims for discussions. Instead, Muslims were fired upon. Many Muslims attained martyrdom courtesy police firing and use of brute force.

In Jamia & AMU, police attacked protesting students and damaged the university property. Non-state actors were also hired who opened fire at Muslim protesters. All this while the vast majority rejoiced our sufferings with glee.

Kapil Mishra mobilized terrorists in presence of police, no less and triggered a large scale anti-Muslim pogrom in Delhi which went on for days. Muslims were slaughtered mercilessly and their properties destroyed. Some sewers in Delhi were clogged with dead bodies of Muslims.

As if all this wasn’t enough, Delhi Police started arresting Muslim students and activists who actively participated in the anti-CAA protests. They were slapped with multiple charges including UAPA, NSA, instigating riots and thrown in jails.

So many cases were filed on Muslims that if they manage to get bail in one case, they would continue to be in prison for another case. This is how the state treated Muslim protesters who were merely protesting against the laws that were made to exterminate the entire community

Easy to lecture Muslims on how they should protest but there’s little Muslims can do when the state doesn’t even consider us as equal citizens. Many ministers have even demanded that our voting rights be culled. So we have to fight with our backs on the wall. It’s not easy.
