to every trans person who is also a singer who has felt like they have no idea how to truly find and be comfortable with their singing voice, remember that it is SOCIETY that makes that harder because of how society categorizes voices and attaches gender to voice parts
to trans people whose transition has included testosterone (this is my experience) who are also singers, it is possible to find your voice again if you feel like you don't know how to connect to it/sing like you want to. it's taken a lot of work for me - but it is working.
to trans people who have trauma in any sort of way, which is probably all of us, I've learned a lot about how trauma is stored in the body, how many emotional blocks I have in regards to singing, and how it has been getting in the way for years
even playing music has been hard to understand how to connect with. It's such a huge part of me that was either fully, or partially lost, for a long time. If you need a boost today and see this, you can totally get reconnected with all the ways your body wants to express itself
Also to trans people who do musical theatre - it's not your fault it's so hard to break into the industry đź‘€
