I don't know who needs to hear this, but I am basically buying the most expensive family cargo bike there is, adding on a bunch of accessories to make it suitable to my needs, and it will still be cheaper than the cheapest new car available in Canada.
I'm calculating based on MSRP, taxes, delivery fees, insurance, and the extra pair of seasonal tires. Not even counting gas or parking in there. Not accounting for how challenging having a 3 door is with a baby in a car seat.
Can it get me to Toronto? Halifax? Vancouver No. But the money not spent on insurance in years 2+ can buy me some first class train tickets and a few flights, so not really bothered.
Cargo bikes are expensive and you need a storage space which makes them impractical for many families. I'm not arguing with that.

But "2 cars and a house with a garage" type families, switching one of those cars to a cargo bike really can make $ sense.
People judging me for buying the cheapest car for my growing family: Yikes, girl, get a better job to provide for your family better.

People judging me for buying the most expensive cargo bike: Wow, money bags huh?

THEY ARE THE SAME PRICE FOR THE SAME PURPOSE
