PTON Apparel news: Over the next day or two, I'll be posting some very interesting apparel/ecomm/pton data.
I've attempted to reach out to some folks regarding this data, but have been met with non-interest. Fair warning has been given.

1/n The information that follows has been, and is being, obtained with nothing other than a browser and knowing where to look.
2/n On Dec 3 ~noon, PTON dropped ~73 womens and mens apparel items. On that day and time, I archived the initial e-store inventory levels across all 73 items, sizes, prices, etc. I continue archiving & tracking these inventories & sale velocities on a 24 hour basis.
3/n We'll start off with top line figures. I'm a data guy. I deliver data. Let's not tease this out. However, more randomized info will follow over a period of time.
12/3 Noon EST (US data only):
M/W Apparel Qty Across all Sizes: 196,467 units
Retail Dollar Value: $13.574m

4/n After ~24 hours, sales have been as follow for the items being tracked:
- 75,904 units sold, 120563 items remain
- $4.96m retail value of items sold
- 75,904 units sold, 120563 items remain
- $4.96m retail value of items sold
5/n I will take a pause after this post, before resuming. What two items in this holiday drop did the PTON e-store stock the most of? The answer is a bit baffling as they are not selling well:
6/n Each of these three womens & mens items have a less than 10% sell thru. IE: Poorest selling after ~24 hours.
7/n On the opposite side from prior post: Of the 73 dropped items being tracked, seven have completely sold out.
Revenues from these sellouts: $529,390

8/n Which items were dropped with less than 300 units available to the buying public?
Yeah...I'm a little surprised as well.

9/n Where are my consumer buying psychologists?
Is there an documented aversion to pricing in odd numbers?
