Over the next week we'll be announcing our 2020-21 Ridgeback Student-Athlete Mentors.
As upper-year peer-mentors, they serve as role models for new students, focusing on the areas of student engagement and leadership, personal goal setting and creating access to campus resources.
Our first Ridgeback student-athlete mentor is Alexie Linardatos from the rowing team.
Today we also recognize Ridgeback Student-Athlete Mentor Amanda Di Mascio of the lacrosse team.
Celine Tessier of the women's hockey program will be a Ridgeback Student-Athlete Mentor for 2020-21.
Celine will be joined by women's hockey teammate Mia Rogers as a Ridgeback Student-Athlete Mentor.
Also from the women's hockey program, joining the Ridgeback Student-Athlete Mentor program, is fourth-year player Sophia Christopherson.
Today we are proud to announce the Ridgeback Student-Athlete Mentors from the men's hockey team, starting with JC Thivierge.
Kari Belec of the men's hockey team has also joined the Ridgeback Student-Athlete Mentors for 2020-21.
Second-year defenceman Pierre Luc Lurette joins teammates Thivierge and Belec as a mentor this year academic year.
Wrapping up the men's hockey involvement as a Ridgeback student-athlete mentor is Tyson McConnell.

We start with third-year men's player Elijah Lorenc-Clarke.
Flipping to the women's program, fourth-year player Alexis Kirton is a 2020-21 Ridgeback mentor.
Fourth-year midfielder Melanie Hoekstra has stepped up to be part of the Ridgeback Student-Athlete Mentors.
